Admittedly, the crew here is not one for awards and accolades. During the early days of CivitasNow — you know, like less than a year ago — a discussion about goals led our creative maven Matt Barnes to flatly state: “Awards are for boys and girls.”

Recognition from peers is certainly appreciated and graciously accepted, but to further interpret @misterbarnes, a chunk of metal or frosted glass pales in comparison to the satisfaction that comes with over-delivering for a client.

When the campaign happens to win an Addy award, it’s some nice reinforcement that we produced great work. Last night at the American Advertising Federation’s 2012 Addy Award Show, we won a Gold Addy in the Non-Traditional advertising category for the Tweet And Go Seek campaign we executed for Time Warner Cable.

It was an enriching and gratifying experience for a young, small agency still planting a stake in Columbus’ increasingly fertile creative community. The agency work on display last night during the show was exceptional and inspiring and we’re proud to be included with such esteemed company.
