Ohio Made, an event held on July 13th - 14th at the Ohio Historical Society, was a
marketplace made up of Ohio artists and craft vendors, combined with a
juried art exhibition awarding prizes for top entries. The event also featured live music, food vendors and the Ohio History Center’s
exhibit 1950s: Building the American Dream. In order to find a creative and unique way to publicize the event, chalk pavement graphics were placed in high traffic, influential areas in Columbus, Ohio.
Just because this media is environmentally friendly doesn't mean you compromise on quality or longevity. With adequate weather, these placements can be prominent for weeks and will weather gracefully. This is ideal for an event like Ohio Made, but can be done in larger quantities in any market.
